What is Nisab?
The minimum wealth threshold before Zakat becomes obligatory. Equivalent to 87.48g of gold or 612.36g of silver. Most scholars recommend the silver Nisab as it is lower and more inclusive.
When Should I Pay?
Zakat is due once your wealth exceeds Nisab and one full lunar year (hawl) passes. Many Muslims choose Ramadan for multiplied rewards, but Zakat can be paid at any time of year.
